About Us

Cochranton Area Redevelopment Effort (CARE)

CARE is a registered non-profit, 501c(3) organization intended to be an umbrella under which an assortment of development initiatives benefitting the Cochranton community can be initiated, managed and supported. Awarded 501c(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service in 2012, CARE is a non-stock Pennsylvania Corporation.

Mission Statement

The corporate purpose of CARE is to foster a broad range of improvements in the Cochranton area through revitalization initiatives in the areas of community planning, beautification, support for enhanced medical services, development of senior housing facilities, historical preservation and the advancement of the arts. 
CARE will pursue these objectives, in full accordance with the guidelines set forth by IRC 501c(3), by providing planning, organizational, managerial and financial resources in support of targeted redevelopment initiatives.

Learn More Abour Our Community Projects

The official corporate purpose of CARE is to foster a broad range of improvements in the Cochranton community through revitalization initiatives in the areas of community planning, beautification, historical preservation and the advancement of the arts. CARE’s targeted initiatives will include the future operation and renovation of the Iris Theatre, pursuit of improved medical and health services, and the long-term establishment of much-needed senior housing and eldercare facilities in our community. CARE will pursue these objectives by providing planning, organizational, managerial and financial resources in support of these critical development initiatives.
